The Trailer Valet RVR5 simplifies trailer movement with 5,500 lbs towing capacity and 275–550 lbs tongue weight. Controlled wirelessly from 40 feet, it features four high-torque motors and caterpillar treads to handle varied surfaces. Its compact, corrosion-resistant aluminum frame and lithium-ion battery allow for up to 30 minutes of runtime.

The Trailer Valet RVR5 is a remote-controlled electric trailer mover built to eliminate the hassle of manually moving your trailer. With a towing capacity of 5,500 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 275–550 lbs, it’s ideal for medium to large trailers, including RVs and boats.

The RVR5 connects directly to your trailer coupler using the included ball tower. With the press of a button, you can maneuver your trailer with ease, even in tight spaces. The wireless remote allows you to control the unit from up to 40 feet away, so you can safely walk around your trailer and monitor pivot points for smooth positioning.

This model is part of the RVR Series, which also includes the RVR3 (3,500 lbs capacity) and the RVR9 (9,000 lbs capacity). All units are powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that offers up to 30 minutes of continuous use. Compact yet powerful, the RVR5 measures 21 x 19 x 19 inches and weighs 90 lbs. It’s equipped with four high-torque planetary motors and a corrosion-resistant aluminum body for long-term durability and ease of use.

Its heavy-duty caterpillar treads provide reliable traction across a variety of surfaces. The RVR5 can push a trailer up a 5% (2.8°) incline, although this will reduce towing capacity. Always avoid pulling the unit uphill. Whether you’re maneuvering into a garage, tight driveway, or storage space, this remote-controlled mover puts precise handling at your fingertips.

What dimensions can the Trailer Valet handle?

A Trailer Valet can handle any sized trailer provided it meets the weight limits of that particular model. We recommend inviting a second person to guide your trailer from the opposite end, especially in tight spaces, as turning requirements can vary widely according to the trailer's dimensions.

Will the Trailer Valet work on my double-axle trailer?

Yes, as long as your trailer weight distribution is properly shifted toward the front of the trailer.

What vehicle types does the Trailer Valet support?

The RVR supports recreational vehicles (RVs), boats, and other similarly sized towable vehicles.

What weight will the Trailer Valet support?

The Trailer Valet comes in several makes and models, capable of supporting variable loads. RVR versions are available for 3,500 (TVRVR3), 5,500 (TVRVR5), 9,000 (TVRVR9).

Will the Trailer Valet work on inclines?

Each Trailer Valet model can handle its own degree of slope depending on the weight of the trailer and tongue, surface type, and trailer weight distribution. We welcome you to send our support team a picture of the full surface (with clear surface type and angle of slope) including your trailer specs. We can help determine suitability for any of our products and make a recommendation.

My trailer uses a standard A-Frame hitch assembly loaded with a battery, winch and propane tank. What do you recommend?

The standard RVR3 attachment connects the unit to your trailer frame rather than to the coupler, providing more flexibility for trailers with limited front space.

Is the Trailer Valet motorized?

Yes, the RVR is fully motorized with a lithium-ion battery and remote control for wireless, hands-free operation.

What is the charging time for the RVR Battery?

The initial charge when first received is overnight (approximately 12 hours). After the first full charge, the battery will typically recharge in about 1 hour.

Can the Trailer Valet remain attached to the trailer while in motion?

No, only the 5X model can be stowed during transit. The RVR must be detached from the trailer before towing.

What happens if you lose control of the trailer?

The Trailer Valet RVR has an integrated brake that automatically engages when the motor stops. It functions best on flat surfaces. If the trailer is on a slope, the brake will slow the trailer until it reaches level ground, though a complete stop may not be guaranteed on steeper inclines.

Will the Trailer Valet work on dirt, gravel, and grass surfaces?

The RVR can handle packed, uneven terrain. We do not recommend use on soft or loose surfaces such as sand, mud, or rocky ground. If unsure, email us photos of the surface and trailer specs for evaluation.

How long does the battery last?

The RVR's lithium-ion battery delivers approximately 30–45 minutes of continuous operation. Battery life varies based on trailer weight, terrain, and slope.

My Trailer Valet works on my heaviest trailer. Will it work for the others?

Not necessarily. Factors like trailer shape, coupler design, weight distribution, and tongue weight all affect usability. Contact our support team for tailored advice.

Can this device be submerged in water (salt or fresh)?

No. Submersion in water will damage internal electronics and void the warranty.

How do I properly maintain my Trailer Valet?

Maintain the unit every 3 months. Clean it after use and store in a dry area. Grease internal gears and bushings as instructed in the manual or YouTube videos. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or extreme conditions.

The Trailer Valet treads are slipping on the ground. What should I do?

If traction is poor, check tongue weight—too much rear weight can lift the nose. Shift more load toward the front of the trailer and clear any debris beneath the tires.
